The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia announced plans to build a brand new 250,000 square foot hospital located in King of Prussia.  The enormous new inpatient hospital will be located on South Goddard Blvd, and hopes to be operational by 2021.

This new location will allow patients to receive continuous care without relocating to the University City campus. CHOP already has a Specialty Care and Surgical Center in King of Prussia, so expanding their operation will allow for better care of patients. The plans include 52 inpatient beds, 16 pediatric intensive care unit beds, and 36 medical surgical unit beds. It will also have a 24/7 emergency department.

For many families, the King of Prussia location will provide terrific care at a much more accessible location.
